Trudeau promises to peacefully resolve issue with protesting Indians in Canada
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised to resolve peacefully the situation with Indian protests against the construction of the Coal GasLink pipeline, the press service of the head of the Canadian government reports. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of resolving the situation peacefully through the ongoing dialogue, the press service said. At the same time, the Government of Canada stated that protesters had the right to express their opinion. It is noted that the Canadian cabinet is in constant contact with Indian leaders. Earlier, protests began in Canada due to the opposition of the country's indigenous peoples to the construction of the Coal GasLink pipeline. Indians believe the pipeline will be laid across their historic territory.
