Turkey presents report on implementation of UN Security Council resolution on DPRK

The Turkish authorities reported that there were no North Korean workers in the country. This is reported by KBS with reference to its sources. According to sources, on 5 March, the Government of Turkey provided the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) with a final report on the implementation of the eighth paragraph of resolution 2397, which obliges the return to their homeland of all DPRK citizens who serve as a source of foreign exchange revenues for Pyongyang. The report notes that the country has not issued a single work permit to North Korean citizens. We remind that the UN member states were to provide an interim report on the implementation of the resolution by 22 December 2019, and a final report by 22 March 2020.
