WHO chief pledges to learn lessons from coronavirus epidemic


The head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adanom Gebreisus, said he was ready for an open investigation into how well the organization had responded to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the WHO press centre on 18 May. Each country and organization should examine its responses and learn from its experience. WHO is committed to the principles of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement, Gebreisus said.
