By 2023, Naftogaz may enter the stock market - Kobolev
By 2023, the Ukrainian company NAC Naftogaz may conduct an initial offering of shares on the stock exchange (IPO Initial Public Offering), the head of the company Andrei Kobolev said in an interview with Liga.net on June 22. I need to prepare the company for an IPO before completing my contract. I think that this can really be done in three years, if there is competent cooperation between Naftogaz and the government. We list the entire group either on the stock exchange of London, or New York, he said. Kobolev noted that Naftogaz will become the most expensive state-owned company in Ukraine, especially if it is sold in a large package, and not in small parts. According to the head of Naftogaz, the American financier George Soros is not interested in investing in Ukrainian energy. We saw Soros both in the USA and in Ukraine. He last came to Ukraine in 2016. But we never discussed investing in our industry. It is unlikely that a person who has donated tens of billions will want to invest his money in Ukrainian energy, he said. According to the news agency, earlier the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Derkach accused Kobolev of organizing a large-scale corruption scheme worth $1.5 billion.
