Indian media: purchase of tanks T-14 Armata will ensure superiority over China
In India, amid a border conflict with China, military-analytical publications are discussing the possibilities of strengthening the country's armed forces. In particular, the IDN edition says that it is possible to get military and technical advantage over China at the expense of supersonic rockets of BraMos, fighting aircraft and also due to purchase in Russia of the T-14 tanks Armata. "Although the superiority of tanks T-90MS the Indian armed forces over Chinese tanks was previously guaranteed, the emergence of newer Type 99A tanks and plans to improve Pakistan's armored vehicles threaten India's current advantage. Taking into account the insufficient effectiveness of the program for creating its own Arjun tanks, India shows significant interest in the fourth-generation Russian tank T-14 Armata, the publication said. According to the authors, the appearance of Russian tanks T-14 Armata in service with the Indian army will give an undeniable advantage over China. It is noted that the T-14 combines the full range of the latest technologies, including technologies for protecting the crew. The tank is capable of hitting any armored vehicles, as well as ground fortifications and even low-flying aircraft. Nevertheless, the authors believe that such prospects have little chance of implementation, since for Russia it is important, first of all, to equip T-14 own army with tanks.
