Survey: 53% of respondents in France found Macron's speech unconvincing
According to an Elabe survey, 47% of respondents in France who listened to President Emmanuel Macron's speech found his speech convincing, BFM TV reports. Conversely, 53% of respondents called the speech of the head of state unconvincing. According to the study, 46% of respondents believe that Emmanuel Macron was aware of the current situation, and this figure jumped by 9% compared to the last survey, which was conducted on May 19 and 20, 2020. In addition, the possibility of movement between European countries unites 27% of dissatisfied residents of France, while the idea of fully opening kindergartens, schools and colleges on a mandatory basis and the ability to travel to countries outside Europe from July 1 is poorly perceived by 24 and 30% of respondents. It is known that 87% of French citizens surveyed are concerned about the economic situation in the country, and 83% said they are concerned about the level of public debt. Moreover, 55% of respondents believe that their financial situation may be a cause for concern, and 37% say they are worried about losing their job. The Elabe survey was conducted online among more than a thousand people representing the French population aged 18 years and older.
