Three parties in Ireland agree to create a coalition government
Most members of the Irish political parties Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Green Party voted to create a coalition government, reports Ireland's national television. It is reported that 74% of members voted for the coalition government in Fianna Fáil, 80% of party members approved this initiative in Fine Gael, among the Greens 76%. Thus, a coalition government will be formed in Ireland after several months of delay caused by the pandemic of coronavirus infection. According to the agreements between the parties, the new prime minister will be the leader of the Fianna Fáil party, Michael Martin, for half a term. The second half of the term will be held by Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar. Irish media note that for the first time in the history of Ireland, the post of prime minister of the country will be transferred within one five-year term.
