Parents suffer: will September 1 be a weekend

State Duma deputies proposed making September 1 a weekend for parents and guardians of first-graders. The authors of the bill and psychologists are confident that this will help children and parents effectively cope with the beginning of a new stage in their lives. Nevertheless, other deputies are convinced that the project is populist and will not be adopted. Experts in the field of education and social policy told the Information Agency whether a new day off is really necessary and whether employers will suffer from it.
