Iran overtakes France and Italy in steel and copper production - Rahmani
On 6 February, at a meeting, the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), Reza Rahmani, announced at a meeting with the leader of Friday prayer in Shahre Kord that the country had ranked tenth in the world in the production of copper and steel. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. According to the Minister, Iran could set a new record in the production of these two products, as the state managed to overtake countries such as France and Italy. The goal was achieved despite unfair sanctions by enemies who have been trying to stop Iran's production process for a year. However, sanctions have only created new opportunities, Rahmani said. The Minister also noted that despite certain restrictions on Iran by the international community, Iran has still not lost the opportunity to set records in the production of various types of industrial products. Recall that on November 5, 2018, US President Donald Trump reinstated unilateral sanctions against Tehran and imposed the highest level of economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran, including restrictions on oil exports.
