Russia Closes Land Border with Poland and Norway
Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin approved a set of measures to combat the spread of new coronavirus infection in Russia. About it today, March 14, the press service of the Government of Russia reports. In particular, the land border of the Russian Federation with Poland and Norway is being closed. The Federal Security Service, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been instructed to draft a temporary suspension of the passage of foreigners on the border with Poland and Norway from 15 March. As previously reported by the news agency, on the eve of March 13, the Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adahan Gebreisus, stated that Europe had become the centre of a coronavirus pandemic. At the moment, the uncontrolled spread of coronavirus infection in a number of EU countries can be noted. The coronavirus spreads most rapidly in Italy and Spain.
